Now that I’ve had a few minutes for my delirious excitement to settle in, some questions have come to mind.

I know you guys are probably going to put this on XBL, and I understand why, but I don’t have a 360, so are you also going to put this on PC? Ideally, I’d like a PSN version, but I’ll buy it on PC if that’s all I can get.

Something that really concerns me is whether you plan to make it more like the arcade version, or like the SNES port. Personally, I strongly dislike the way the arcade version plays, with the decaying life meter and frantic pace. I much prefer the relaxed feel of the SNES port, as well as the slimmed down selection of power-ups. It never made much sense to me that they used clones of themselves as ammunition in the arcade original. Either way, I wouldn’t mind seeing some more distinct graphics to differentiate some of the nearly identical dinosaur bosses, and that strikes me as exactly the kind of subtle improvement you guys excel at — as evidenced with this fantastic new design work on the dudes themselves.

Hurrah! One of my absolute favorite SNES games!
I’ve become increasingly nostalgic about Joe & Mac recently, and was being driven to actually try my hand at redrawing the sprites myself.. But then I see this announcement! I was worried at first, but looking at your trailer for Toki, and your devotion to 2D gaming, I have faith in your efforts. Goodluck! And please put your games on Playstation Network!

Don’t listen to what Garsh says…. I love the arcade version but the levels are too short and the Super Nintendo Version may have better music & longer levels plus bonus stages but it has less weapons and doesn’t have the cool effect when you burn, shock, and turn your foes into bowling pins like in the arcade version so….

How about mix the best of both the Arcade (More Weapons plus effects, power charge shot, etc..) and the best of the Super Nintendo (Longer Levels, Bonus Stages, Map System, & Better music…) into one better improved version?

I’m going to make a list of ups & downs of both the original arcade & the SNES port to help work this out better…
